about the bulk import the bulk import allows you to preload canvas course, student and timetable data into the aplus+ attend he lti and keep that data up to date regardless of whether teachers click through to attendance for those canvas courses the bulk import is optional and recommended in most situations if you do not use the bulk import, then canvas courses are only synced with attend he when the lti is accessed from each course this means that if a teacher has not clicked on attendance for their canvas course, then attend he may not be aware of that course and won’t be aware of changes to timetable data or student enrolments the bulk import is necessary when using scanning, or if you would like to be able to report on which classes/courses are not taking attendance navigation bulk import can be located in your admin portal navigate to admin > plug ins > canvas, then select “canvas bulk import” updating the bulk import updating the bulk import (sis schedule) on this screen, select the courses that should be included in the bulk import this is typically all courses, except for the sandboxes, training and blueprint courses use the date and/or term filter to identity current courses, or courses that do not have a term or start date defined by default, courses that have already been loaded will be hidden, these can be shown be unselecting “hide already loaded courses” (marked with below) be sure to select “show courses” work down the ‘select to import’ list, selecting the courses that should be imported do not select the ‘import from canvas calendar’ or ‘import event from sis’ if your timetables are created manually by instructors select the top ‘select all’ box, of “import events from sis” this will select only the courses that had already been selected in the first column select import staff emails select import terms select import student emails select load selected courses this will take some time, please keep the screen open
